Yellow Creek State Park

Thu, October 24, 2024, 4:15 – 6:15 pm

Plant Patrol has scheduled this work event and we are seeking volunteers.

Description

We will pull by hand the invasive ground cover, periwinkle (Vinca major), along Laurel Run Trail near the Yellow Creek State Park Office. This area is wet and muddy, which will make it easier to pull out the long rooted stems without breaking them.

Wear hiking boots, long pants, and insect repellent. We will provide gloves, but if you have a favorite pair of garden gloves, bring them.

Feel free to arrive late, if you cannot get to Yellow Creek after work by 4:15. Just walk along Laurel Run Trail until you find us.

Meet in front of the park office.
