Yellow Creek State Park

Description

We will remove the invasive ground cover, periwinkle (Vinca spp.), along Laurel Run Trail near the Yellow Creek State Park Office. We will use garden rakes and we will pull vinca by hand without any tools. This area is wet and muddy, which will make it easier to pull out the long rooted stems without breaking them.

Wear hiking boots, long pants, and insect repellent. If you have a favorite pair of garden gloves and a garden rake, bring them.
